These reins are light (under 400g) to allow good release of the LightRider bridle chinstrap. They come with solid brass or stainless steel scissor clips to match the bridle hardware, and are the rope reins are one piece for easy leading in the bridle (not suited for tying solid unless the clips are removed). I recommend you use these trigger clips to attach your own reins to the bridle so they can easily be swapped to the lead ring/loop for leading, groundwork etc. Rein clips also allow the chinstrap rings to be joined with the noseband rings so the bridle can be used as a sidepull without activating the chinstrap - ideal for super sensitive horses and those that haven't experienced a chinstrap before.
Replacement Clips: If your horse has stepped on a rein and broken the clip, it’s easily replaced.
