LightRider Bitless Bridles will feature at the Natural Horse World site in the Agfest Equine Expo area. See all the styles and you might even find a bargain in the discontinued bridles and seconds. At 1pm each day Cynthia Cooper will present in the arena with Charlie (pictured) focusing on the principles of Equifriendship, bareback and bitless riding. Come and get advice on bitless bridles and all the other great products sold by the Natural Horse World store any time between 9am and 4pm daily. Agfest is Tasmania's premiere agricultural event attracting over 70,000 patrons over 3 days. This year it runs from Thursday the 2nd to Saturday the 4th of May. It's a great opportunity for Tasmanian Equine businesses and clubs, clinicians and entertainers to meet with the horsey public so we look forward to seeing you there.

Leah and Breo practice their archery skills. See LightRider Bitless Bridle in action during the 'Anyone can go Bitless' Education Sessions at Equitana on Thursday (15th Nov.) @ 4pm in the Epsom Arena, and Friday (16th) @ 9.45am in the Hygain Arena. This year Cynthia Cooper is being assisted by Kim Barker and her ponies (with young riders) along with Leah Sharp and her Andalusian, Breo who does Medieval re-enactments. It will be an entertaining and informative time showcasing bitless riding. LightRider Bitless Bridles will be available at the Natural Horse World booth, no. 205 in the Grand Hall. We hope to see you there :) On July the 2nd and 3rd at Albury Showgrounds in Victoria.
I have been invited to teach at two one day Bitless Riding Clinics where riders can try a bitless bridle and learn how to have better control and communication than they currently have with a bit. These workshops will be limited to 10 riders each day with no limit on observers. Each rider ticket for $150 entitles them to bring an observer for free and to be an observer on the alternate day (= to $250 in value). Observer tickets are $50 per day or $80 for both days. The clinics are open to riders of any age over 12, of all experience levels and for those that don't have their own bitless bridle, they will be provided. Workshop times are 9.30 - 4.30 and all attending will be able to purchase LightRider Bitless Bridles at 10-20% discount. Bookings/enquiries can be made with Kelly Bick at [email protected] or phone 02 6071 0210. The Transition to Bitless Riding presentations I did at Equitana in Melbourne recently were a huge success and attended by lots of people looking at riding bitless. With the help of Nelly Jaehne and her young nieces, Nadia and Annie, we showed all the steps to train or transition to a bitless bridle. These are especially important for green horses and riders as many educated horses have no problems with changing over to a bitless bridle.
The two horses who helped demonstrate the groundwork tasks then how it translated to riding, were a 3yo Clydy x Friesian gelding and a 2yo Gypsy Cob colt so their educaiton was just beginning. The work we had done with them and the girls paid off when the PA system unexpectedly went crazy with lots of loud noise that scared the horses, but the girls kept perfect control with the use of the hindquarter yield they had been practising - until it became an automatic response which is what keeps a bitless rider (or any rider for that matter) safe and in control. Interest from the two 45 minute presentations translated into lots of LightRider Bitless Bridle sales so I'm sure there will be many more happier horses out there enjoying the comfort of bitless and giving their riders a much nicer riding experience as a result. Cynthia Cooper will be doing two 45 minute presentations on bitless riding - they are scheduled for Thursday the 18th Nov. at 3pm in the John Deere Demo Arena 3 and Friday the 19th Nov. at 10am in the Epsom Demo Arena 2.
Cynthia, with the help of two young horses belonging to fellow Tasmanian, Nelly Jaehne, will explain how you can transition or start your horse in a bitless bridle safely, and why you would want to do that. This is the first time that Bitless Riding presentations have been offered at Equitana so don't miss the oportunity to learn more about the bitless bridles. Cynthia will also be selling her LightRider Bitless Bridles, slow feeder haynets etc. and giving free advice at the Natural Horse World booth 409 in the Epsom Pavillion for the whole 4 days of Equitana - Nov. 18-21st in Melbourne. For those who can't make it to Equitana, you can buy a LightRider Bitless Bridle from the www.naturalhorseworldstore.com |
